Lisa Killinger

Lisa Killinger, D.C., Davenport ’83, is a professor of Diagnosis at Palmer College of Chiropractic. She has directed or co-directed eight governmental grants (US Health Resources and Services Administration or HRSA) on the topic of geriatric education and interdisciplinary care, and served as a site coordinator for the HRSA-funded Iowa Geriatric Education Centerfor over 10 years. Dr. Killinger teaches Geriatrics, Pediatrics, Men’s & Women’s Health, and chiropractic technique courses for students, educators and health professionals.  She is a frequent invited speaker at international scientific conferences. She has published 9 book chapters on geriatrics and over 75 publications in the scientific literature, and has received dozens of awards for her teaching, research and civic engagement over the past two decades.

When asked to reflect on her achievements, Dr. Killinger said her “most important accomplishment has been raising four children.”
